About me

Hi, my name is Maddie Allen. I am from Brookhaven, MS. I previously attended The University of Mississippi and The University of Mississippi Medical Center for Nursing and as you can tell I have chosen a different path in Elementary Education. I would love to get my masters and teach middle school science or high school biology. I am not really sure what to tell you about my technology background other than the fact that I know how to use a computer and browse the web and use Microsoft Word and all that jazz. My mom is a high school teacher and I have had the opportunity to use her Smart Board so that is really cool to play with. As far as the use of technology in the classrooms to enhance learning, I think it can be a powerful thing. Computers may not be available for every student but Smart Boards are awesome if it can be provided. I think that technology continues to change and grow and it is important for students to be familiar with it and have access to it. It is a great way to enhance learning for example virtual tours and such. Any technology that can be used in the classroom should be used as long as there is purpose.
